Homelite String Trimmers Reconditioned

Here is my review on the Homelite string trimmer. I suggest you read
my review on the Poulan weedeater because it has very similar features. Therefore I will tell you why I would not
buy this weedeater. And just for the record, I’m not against Homelite, it is just that my experience, and others,
have shown that this particular model is not worth the time and money.

At first glance, you might think that the price is right. The fact is, the price reflects the quality of this
string trimmer. My mother always taught me that if I didn’t have anything nice to say, then not to say anything at
all. I think in this case I would be doing a disservice to people looking for an afforadable string trimmer.
The first problem I had was that I could not get this thing to run for more than 5 minutes. It would just shut
off and I would have to restart it constantly. It got to the point where it would run only for a minute. The repair
shop said that there was a problem with the fuel hose. This makes sense, but they couldn’t find a replacement and
had to use a makeshift setup to repair it. $25 and 2 days later I was back at the shop again.
I trust my repair shop because I have used them for everything over the past 15 years so I know they aren’t just
pulling a fast one over me. The problem now was the the gas was leaking out of the trimmer. I may not have noticed
this before the last repair but I did now. The problem is that there was some sort of rust from within the tank
itself.
Honestly I could go on but I think the best thing is to just stop. If you are looking for a weedeater or string
trimmer then reconditioned Homelite string trimmers are not the answer. You are simply better off to cut your lawn
with a pair of scissors.
